What is Art Restoration?
In every home or business there are items that are cherished for one reason or another. These items could be worth a lot of money or simply hold significant sentimental value. Items like photographs, collectibles, memorabilia, antiques, artwork, or sculptures are examples of items we can restore following a fire or water damage event.
Restoration of items damaged by fire or water is a hands-on process – There are no shortcuts. The most typical damage we see is from smoke, soot, water, or mildew. CRDN technicians are trained to remove contaminants in a manner which does not harm the item. To achieve this, we utilize conservator-approved processes to clean, deodorize and disinfect damaged items while still maintaining its integrity. Our goal, always, is to restore the item to its pre-loss condition or better.
